Potawatomi Hotel & Casino said it will suspend its operations indefinitely, beginning at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. Employees will be paid during the closure.
The move is in accordance with the most recent guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, which is recommending against gatherings of 50 people or more in an attempt to maintain social distancing throughout the country and reduce the spread of the coronavirus, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino said.
“At this time, the health and safety of our guests and the 2,700 team members at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is the top priority,” said Rodney Ferguson, chief executive officer and general manager of the property.
