A total of 20 employees and 5 partners from Naperville-based CPA firm Klein Hall will join Wipfli in an acquisition announced Friday.
“This will add an office to our footprint in the western suburbs of Chicago, enhancing our physical presence in the market and helping Wipfli to become an even stronger leader in providing audit, tax and consulting services to Chicagoland’s organizations and businesses,” said Kurt Gresens, Wipfli’s managing partner.
This acquisition marks Wauwatosa-based Wipfli’s seventh in the Chicago area in five years and will add 25 Klein Hall employees to Wipfli’s Chicago presence. The firm now has 2,400 associates in 50 states, according to a press release.
Klein Hall was ranked 2,750 on Inc. Magazine’s 2019 “Inc. 5000” list after the company experienced 139% growth in a three-year period for the third year in a row. The firm was also as Accounting Today’s “100 Best Accounting Firms to Work For” in the United states and also ranked sixth for “Best Firms for Women” in the country.
The acquisition will give Klein Hall access to national resources and more extensive capabilities to to serve the evolving needs of clients while also providing career and development opportunities for its employees, said Christina Klein Trapp, Klein Hall managing partner.
Klein Hall has been providing accounting, tax and advisory services to privately held businesses and entities in the Chicago area for 17 years.
