Advocate Aurora Health plans to build a new $6.8 million health center in Racine.
The outpatient clinic will be located on South Green Bay Road, between 21st Street and Durand Avenue. It will offer primary care, urgent care, and onsite laboratory and x-ray services.
The facility is expected to create 20 new full-time jobs, including three family practice providers and other clinical and administrative staff members. It’s scheduled to open in fall 2020.
“We’re proud to contribute to building a strong, vibrant community we can all be proud of,” said Lisa Just, president of Advocate Aurora Health’s east corridor patient service area. “This new clinic and other facilities we’re building in Racine County will make health care easier and more convenient and help even more local residents live well.”
The health center is expected to see about 16,500 patient visits annually by the end of its fifth year, the health system said.

It’s one of several new Advocate Aurora facilities planned for the area. The system is building a $250 million development that will include a new hospital, two clinics and a medical office building northeast of I-94 and Highway 20 in Mount Pleasant, as well as a new $13 million clinic on Spring Street and Sunnyslope Drive in the village.
It is also building a $130 million ambulatory surgery center and physician office building in neighboring Kenosha County. That facility will be located in the Prairie Highlands Corporate Park, north of 104th Street and west of I-94 in Pleasant Prairie.
