Brown Deer-based Traffic and Parking Control Co. Inc. or TAPCO has acquired Milwaukee-based Adaptive Micro Systems LLC, a manufacturer and service provider of outdoor and indoor LED displays.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction does include all of Adaptive Micro Systems’ assets, property technology and personnel.
As its name suggests, TAPCO manufactures and distributes a wide-variety of traffic and parking safety products. The expands TAPCO’s share of the intelligent transportation system market and adds LED displays to the company’s portfolio.
“Adaptive Micro Systems has been a long-time partner of ours,” says Eric Stangel, TAPCO chief financial officer. “Their products, staff and market alignment, specifically ITS and mass transit, will significantly enhance TAPCO’s ability to serve our core customers while creating growth opportunities in new business sectors.”
Adaptive Micro Systems will continue to operate under its current name and maintain its facility at 7840 N. 86th St. in Milwaukee.
