Freedom Physical Therapy in Fox Point recently hired Adrienne Loukopoulos as its newest therapist.
Loukopoulos graduated from St. Norbert College with a bachelor’s of science with a biomedical concentration. She then pursued occupational therapy at Mount Mary University where she graduated with a master’s in occupational therapy. Through the program, she received specialized training in advanced hand and worker rehabilitation.
Loukopoulos was selected for a competitive placement where she worked with Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) and hand and upper extremity surgeons. Throughout the placement, she focused on hand and upper extremity injuries and treatment including trauma, post-operative care, fractures, tendon injuries, soft tissue mobilizations, joint mobilizations, splinting, and wound care.
Loukopoulos enjoys working with patients of all ages with hand, elbow, and shoulder ailments. She is passionate about splinting, post-operative wound care, and thumb arthritis.
She discovered the field of occupational therapy through her work with children on the autism spectrum where she saw the impact OT had on the children’s ability to participate in school and everyday activities.
Loukopoulos grew up in Ozaukee County and currently resides in the Greater Milwaukee Area where she enjoys exploring new restaurants. She enjoys spending time in Eagle River on the lake fishing, wakeboarding, and boating, traveling and exploring new cultures.
