Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, has announced that Matthew Brown has rejoined the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group as an attorney in the Waukesha office.
Brown’s practice focuses on preparation of patent applications and clearance, patentability and validity opinions in various technologies. He also has experience in all phases of intellectual property litigation and trial preparation, including preparing briefs and legal memoranda, conducting legal research and handling discovery matters. Brown has also worked on administrative appeals and arbitration proceedings.
Brown originally joined Michael Best as an intellectual property litigation attorney in 2010. Prior to returning to the firm, he spent three years volunteering and traveling in 40 countries across six continents.
Brown received his J.D., with distinction, from The University of Iowa College of Law in 2009 and his B.S. in Industrial Engineering, with highest distinction and honors, from The University of Iowa in 2006. He is a member of Tau Beta Pu and Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity.
