REV Group named title sponsor for Road America Indy Car race

Event will recognize first responders

Milwaukee-based REV Group Inc. will be the title sponsor of the NTT IndyCar Series event at Road America the weekend of June 20 to June 23 in Elkhart Lake.

The June 23 race will be known as the REV Group Grand Prix and will be televised on NBC beginning at 11 a.m.

The race was previously sponsored by Kohler Company.

Tim Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of REV Group, a specialty vehicle manufacturer, said Road America is one of the premier road courses in North America and “a proud part of our community.”

“Motorsports is an effective platform for REV to connect with our customers and showcase the technology, engineering and quality we put into our vehicles,” Sullivan said. “We are using the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America to pay tribute to first responders, sharing our appreciation for the dedicated people who use our vehicles each day to serve their communities.”

As part of the sponsorship, REV Group will have unique hospitality and race experiences to honor first responders at the event. The company’s vehicles, including fire trucks and RVs, will be on display.

George Bruggenthies, senior consultant and former president and general manager of Road America, said REV Group is “a great fit” for the race track.

From first responders to families, REV emanates American pride and American success through its diverse vehicle brands, Gruggenthies said. “We feel that REV will incorporate itself very well with Road America’s fan base while rewarding first responders through this entitlement. We are very excited to have them on board in such a prestigious capacity.”
