- UnitedHealthcare awarded four grants of $25,000 to support organizations that address health needs and barriers for Wisconsin residents with disabilities. The grant winners include The Arc Wisconsin, Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin, Independence First and Life Navigators.
- Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. will provide $150,000 to support childhood cancer researchers nationwide. The donation will provide $60,000 to fund 12 grants in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Pediatric Oncology Student Training program. Northwestern Mutual is also funding $90,000 for medical researchers to purchase essential lab and research equipment at 16 hospitals and universities.
- Ewald Automotive Group announced donations to eight local military charities, including The U.S.O., Operation Freedom, Dryhootch and several American Legion posts, with contributions raised during the company’s Military Appreciation Sale. The group has contributed more $135,000 to military charities over the past several years.
