The president and CEO of Waukesha-based ProHealth Care was recently added to the Carroll University Board of Trustees.
Susan Edwards, who joined ProHealth Care in 2010, was elected to the board during a meeting in December.
“Susan brings a rich history of direct experience with successful health care organizations,” said Douglas Hastad, Carroll University president, in a prepared statement. “This background will provide an important perspective as Carroll continues to strengthen and grow its reputation in the area of allied health sciences.”
The ProHealth network includes several hospitals, clinics and health care centers in Waukesha County including Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and the Moreland Surgery Center.
Prior to joining ProHealth Care, Edwards was the president of Banner Health System’s Arizona region in Phoenix, Arizona and was once Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of St. John’s Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
“I’m honored to be elected to the Carroll University Board of Trustees and I look forward to the opportunity to help advance the university’s mission and goals,” Edwards said in a prepared statement.
Edwards also belongs to the Blood Center of Wisconsin Board, Wisconsin Hospital Association Board, Waukesha State Bank Board and the AboutHealth Board.
