Association of Fundraising Professionals announces Philanthropy Day award winners

The Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southeastern Wisconsin has named the honorees of its 2015 National Philanthropy Day awards program.

National Philanthropy Day, in its 37th year, touts the power of philanthropy to uplift communities and improve the economy.

This year’s celebration of philanthropy will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, as AFPSEWI salutes award winners for their generosity in giving back.

Winners are:

*John and Elizabeth Feith for the “Leave a Legacy Award,” which honors individuals who have shaped the community through documented planned gifts. The Feiths were nominated by Cedar Community, Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA and the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus.
*Mick Hatch for the “Todd Wehre Volunteer Award,” which praises a committed volunteer who is driven to raise philanthropic funds. Hatch was nominated by Menomonee Valley Partners, Inc.
*Isabel Pesci, Elizabeth Korb and Taylor Newcomer for the “Philanthropic Youth of Today Award,” which highlights accomplishments of young philanthropic leaders. Pesci, Korban d Newcomer were nominated by Catholic Memorial High School.
*Steve Atwell for the “Scott M. Cutlip Professional Fundraiser Award,” which salutes a professional fundraising executive. Atwell was nominated by Discovery World.
*A.O. Smith Corporation for the “Wisconsin Organization Philanthropy Award,” which honors philanthropic leadership on the part of an organization. A.O. Smith Corporation was nominated by Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
*William Radler for the “Evan P. Helfaer Donor Award,” which recognizes the sharing of resources with nonprofit organizations. Radler was nominated by Jericho Resources, Inc.

AFPSEWI’s National Philanthropy Day celebration will take place at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, 333 W. Kilbourn Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. Event organizers anticipate more than 600 attendees.
