Olympus Group to expand headquarters, add 50 jobs

Milwaukee-based Olympus Group plans to expand its corporate headquarters and add 50 jobs in Milwaukee over the next three years.

The manufacturer of mascot costumes and large format digital graphics currently has 171 employees, 130 of whom are based in Milwaukee.

Olympus Group will add 13,000 square feet to its 61,000-square-foot headquarters building, located at 9000 W. Heather Ave., as well as renovate existing offices and add environmentally conscious features, including a “blue roof” to aid in stormwater management. Construction is expected to begin in September and be completed by January.

The company will also expand its 18,000-square-foot Orlando custom printing facility by 7,500 square feet at the end of this year. That division opened in 2011 with two employees, and has grown to 35 employees.

Olympus Group, founded in 1893, also has a division in Grand Rapids, Mich. and outside sales offices in Chicago; Minneapolis; Fort Myers, Fla.; and Greer, S.C.

“In the last five years our business has doubled in size, and to better support our growth in printing of trade show and retail P.O.P graphics, we felt an expansion was necessary,” said Brian Adam, president.
“Our team has built world-class printing facilities in Orlando and Milwaukee, and the additions will help position us well for continued growth in the years to come.”
