The Congregation at St. Marcus Lutheran Church and School recently approved plans for its second major campus expansion in the past decade and will break ground on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 12 p.m.
The ground breaking will initiate Phase 1 of the $12 million school and campus expansion. Right now $7.1 million has been raised towards the effort.
The $9.3 million phase will add a little more than 46,000 square-foot educational facility that will help the school serve more than 600 students upon completion. The expansion also increases church ministry space, and provides additional rooms for community outreach. Construction on the new project is set to begin the first week in November.
Catalyst Construction will lead the build out of the project that was designed by Korb Tredo Architects.
Phase II of the project will offer another additional 12,000 square feet of multi-purpose space and will be used as a theater, gym and community resource center. $2.7 million will be needed for phase II to begin.
