Glendale-based Sprecher Brewing Company collected six medals at the 2012 U.S. Open Beer Championships. Sprecher was ranked as the 8th best brewery in the competition and was the only Wisconsin brewery to be listed in the top 10.
The championship drew more than 1,650 beer entries in 65 categories from international breweries and acclaimed homebrewers.
Among Sprecher’s gold medal winning beers was Sprecher Black Bavarian, Sprecher Dopple Bock and Chameleon Witty. Bronze medalists included Sprecher Hooligan, Sprecher Kriek Lambic and Sprecher Winter Brew.
