Milwaukee Rescue Mission collecting socks

The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is teaming up with Disney and Hanes in a sock drive running until Sept. 3. The Milwaukee sock drive is part of a national initiative spearheaded by the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions along with The Walt Disney Studios and Hanes. As an AGRM member, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission sits at the forefront of the Milwaukee drive.

The large-scale drive, dubbed “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” Sock Drive, credits the Disney film called “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” premiering Aug. 15 with its inspiration. AGRM kicked the drive off July 9.
The Milwaukee Rescue Mission is seeking donations of new socks to be given to Milwaukee-area families and homeless residents. Socks may be dropped off at various locations throughout greater Milwaukee such as Marcus Theatres, Kohl’s at Southridge Mall and Wal-Mart in Muskego.
Hanes will match donations up to 10,000 pairs of socks collected by AGRM members.
