Several Waukesha County business leaders have been appointed to the special committee on improving educational opportunities in high school.
The leaders include: Joe Garza, superintendent of New Berlin School District; state representative Paul Farrow; Suzanne Kelley, president of the Waukesha County Business Alliance; Jim Leef, owner of Industrial Towel & Uniform; Harry Muir, campus executive officer and Dean of the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha; and Patricia Neudecker, superintendent of Oconomowoc Area School District.
The committee will evaluate current options available to high school students for both career and technical education and post-secondary enrollment. They will also examine both career and technical education and post-secondary options available to high school students in other states and determine how to promote coordination between high schools, technical colleges, universities, and employers to ensure that high school students have the skills necessary to meet workforce needs of employers in Wisconsin.
