The Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) celebrated the 2012 winners of its Paragon Awards this week at a luncheon at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.
Thirteen local companies were recognized for their excellence in the public relations field, with the best of show being awarded to Emerald Isle for its West Bend campaign.
The Paragon Awards are given annually to honor local companies and individuals that exemplify excellence in communications.
In addition to recognizing local companies, the chapter also celebrated public relations on an individual level, awarding the Paragon Communicator of the Year Award to Thomas Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council, and the Dorothy Thomas Black Award to David Fantle, deputy tourism secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Tourism.
The Paragon Award recipients included: Bader Rutter & Associates – 6 Excellence, 4 Merit; Build – 1 Excellence; Emerald Isle – 5 Excellence, 3 Merit; Laughlin Constable – 4 Excellence, 2 Merit; Michael Pflughoeft – 1 excellence; Milwaukee Public Television – 1 Excellence; Zeppos & Associates – 5 Excellence, 4 Merit; Clear Verve Marketing – 2 Merit; Great Wolf Resorts Inc – 1 Merit; NCL Graphics – I Merit; Standard Process –3 Merit; Waterstone Bank – 1 Merit; and Wisconsin Dental Association – 1 Merit.
