VISIT Milwaukee names board members

VISIT Milwaukee has named its officers and board of directors for the 2014-’15 term.

 

Deborah Farris, executive director of Danceworks, and Ralph Hollmon, president and chief executive officer of The Milwaukee Urban League, are new board members for the year.

Officers are: chair, Aldo Madrigrano, Beer Capitol Inc.; vice chair, Omar Shaikh, SURG Restaurant Group; treasurer/secretary, Steve Magnuson, Marcus Hotels & Resorts; past chair, Paul Mathews, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts; president and CEO, Paul Upchurch, VISIT Milwaukee; and assistant secretary, Dana Jones, director of finance and administration, VISIT Milwaukee.

Board members are: Rafael Acevedo, Greater Milwaukee Foundation; Tyler Barnes, Milwaukee Brewers; Joe Bartolotta, Bartolotta Restaurant Group; Bill Davidson, Harley-Davidson Museum; Mary Dowell, Johnson Controls Inc.; Mayor Kathy Ehley, City of Wauwatosa; Paulette Enders, City of Wauwatosa; Rick Frenette, Wisconsin State Fair; Jeremy Fojut, ART Milwaukee; Cecilia Gilbert, City of Milwaukee DPW; Dan Keegan, Milwaukee Art Museum; Lynda Kohler, SHARP Literacy Inc; Harold Mester, Milwaukee County/General Mitchell International Aiport; Rose Murack, Radisson Hotel Milwaukee-West; David Murphy, Marquette University; Ron Olstad, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee; Ald. Bobby Pantuso, City of Wauwatosa; Laurette Pettibone, Potawatomi Bingo Casino; John Steinmiller, Milwaukee Bucks; Teig Whaley-Smith, Milwaukee County; Rick Wiegand, Ambassador Hotel; Chuck Wikenhauser, Milwaukee County Zoo; and Ald. Terry Witkowski, City of Milwaukee.

VISIT Milwaukee works to expand the tourism economy in the area, increasing local business revenue and taxes paid by tourists while creating tourism-related jobs.
