Roundy’s donates $120,000 to local organizations

The Roundy’s Foundation passed out more than $120,000 in grants to seven organizations serving Milwaukee and Waukesha counties in the areas of hunger relief, domestic abuse and literacy in addition to a special gift to support breast cancer education, screening and access to treatment. Roundy’s Foundation board member, Jane Voichick, Roundy’s Foundation administrator, Connie Jones and Roundy’s Supermarkets director of public affairs, Vivian King, handed out the following donations:

  • Wisconsin Nazarene Compassionate Center-$3,000 in gift cards
  • Healthy Families of Waukesha County-$7,000
  • Milwaukee Women’s Center- $7,500
  • Interfaith Senior Programs- $5,000 plus $5,000 in gift cards
  • AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin- $2,500 plus 4,926 pounds of food
  • United Way of Greater Milwaukee- $50,000

Additionally, the Roundy’s Foundation gave $35,000 to Susan G. Komen – Milwaukee Affiliate, the result of a partnership consisting of Roundy’s Supermarkets and Acosta Sales and Marketing’s Swanson, Gorton’s, Welch’s, Mott’s and Bush’s manufacturer clients.
