The Milwaukee Athletic Club will host a Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund Dinner Wednesday, Nov. 11 where Green Bay Packer president Mark Murphy and former Chicago Bears Coach Mike Ditka will be the featured guests.
The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund focuses on efforts to assist dire need retired NFL players, who struggle through a variety of situations including inadequate disability or pensions. Proceeds from the benefit will go to support that mission.
The GGAF also provides hands-on assistance to help retired players and their families deal with hardships they face after football. The services include medical assistance, financial assistance for utilities, medication, food, utilities, automotive payments and childcare.
The GGAF’s Board of Directors includes: Ditka, Jimmy Johnson, Marv Levy, Gale Sayers, Matt Birk, Kyle Turley and Greg Brown, CEO of Motorola.
The event is open to athletic club members and non members and will have a silent auction as well as live entertainment from Johnny Vincent. Tickets are available for $85 and can be purchased by calling Brad Schendel at (414) 274-0622.
