State Fair to host drive in movie

Wisconsin State Fair Park officials recently announced Fair Flicks, the latest addition to its summer calendar of events.

Fair Flicks are drive-in movies that will be held on most Friday and Saturday evenings throughout July.

A double feature will be shown on a 40-foot screen with audio transmitted on a preset FM radio frequency. Cost of the event is $15 per car load. There is no restriction on the number of individuals per vehicle; however the Fair Park is encouraging that everyone within the vehicle to buckle up.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hunger Task Force and the Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation.

Vehicles that bring four nonperishable food items for the Hunger Task Force can pay $10 to get in. Walk-ins can also come and see the movies for only $5.

Fair Flicks will be held in the North Parking Lot of the Fair Park and moviegoers can enter through Gate 6 off of 84th Street, Gate 7 off of Kearney Street, or Gate 8 along 76th Street.
