Famous Dave’s brings BBQ to the race track

Famous Dave’s BBQ recently announced it will add an all-inclusive, trackside area called Famous Dave’s Corner on each of the Milwaukee Mile track’s major race days.

Race fans will be able to decide between Famous Dave’s BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches or Georgia chopped pork sandwiches to go with their seasoned french fries.

"Racing and BBQ is a natural fit. It all started with Dave opening up his first BBQ Shack in Wisconsin, so it makes a lot of sense to be involved at the legendary Milwaukee Mile," said Tom Purdy, managing director of Team R N’ B Wisconsin. "Race fans are going to love Dave’s own secret recipe BBQ sauces and the award-winning food we’re serving up in Famous Dave’s Corner."

One set price includes a race ticket in Famous Dave’s Corner, which is North Terrace seating section ZZ. Famous Dave’s chefs will prepare and serve at the seating section overlooking Turn Four of The Mile. On each race day, Famous Dave’s Corner will open one hour before race time.

Prices for Famous Dave’s Corner range from $40 to $65, depending on the day and the event. Discounts are available for groups as few as 10.

"We’re excited to partner with Famous Dave’s on this savory combination of world-class auto racing and great food in Famous Dave’s Corner – one more way The Milwaukee Mile is working hard to add exciting and affordable options for our fans," said Milwaukee Mile president and chief executive officer Claude Napier. "What better way is there to watch the stars of the Indianapolis 500 and their NASCAR heroes stand on the gas pedal while enjoying awesome Famous Dave’s BBQ?"
