WCEDC Sets ‘Conversactions’ Lineup

The Waukesha County Economic Development Corp. (WCEDC) will launch its third season of "Conversactions," its ongoing series of discussions about developing solutions to the business challenges facing Waukesha County.

This year’s Conversactions series has been fine-tuned to include less meetings and more focused discussions, according to William Mitchell, executive director of the WCEDC.

The 2005-2006 Conversactions lineup includes:

Brain Gain:  Identifying Knowledge-Based Opportunities In Southeastern Wisconsin – The monthly discussions will take place Wednesdays, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21 from from 8:30 to 11:00 AM at the Workforce Development Center in Pewaukee.

Regional Promotion: Welcoming New Businesses to Waukesha County – The monthly discussions will take place on Tuesdays, Oct. 11, November 8, December 13 and Jan. 10, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Workforce Development Center in Pewaukee.

Technological Competitiveness: Connecting Industries to Innovative Resources – The monthly discussions will take place on Thursdays, Nov. 3, Dec. 1, Jan. 5 and Feb. 2, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Workforce Development Center

Economic NIMBY: Alerting Communities to the Civic Value of Business Growth – The monthly discussions will take place on Tuesdays, Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 28 and April 25, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Workforce Development Center in Pewaukee.

Successful Ideas: Helping Entrepreneurs Build Their Business Network – The monthly discussions will take place Thursdays, Feb. 9, March 9, April 13 and May 11
