100 businesses hiring at Washington, Ozaukee county job fair

Free event set for Aug. 17

At least 100 companies are planning to participate in The Workforce Development Center’s Washington and Ozaukee county job fair, set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17.

The free event is being held at the Washington County Fair Park and Conference Center, 3000 Highway PV, West Bend.

The list of companies participating in the event is available at wfdc.org and is updated weekly. Participating companies come from a variety of industries, including customer service, health care, hospitality, information technology, logistics, manufacturing and sales. There are full- and part-time positions available, along with direct-hire and seasonal opportunities.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring copies of their resume since employers may choose to interview qualified candidates on-site.

Companies interested in participating can register online. A $490 fee secures a booth and lunch for two representatives.

Arthur covers banking and finance and the economy at BizTimes while also leading special projects as an associate editor. He also spent five years covering manufacturing at BizTimes. He previously was managing editor at The Waukesha Freeman. He is a graduate of Carroll University and did graduate coursework at Marquette.
